At the age of six, Madonna was
devastated when her mother
died.  She exploded into fiery
rebellion when her father
remarried -- hell-bent on breaking
every rule at Catholic school.
She bucked against the school
uniform by wearing brightly
colored underwear, and to make
sure everyone knew, she hung
upside-down on the monkey bars
at recess. Madonna went on to
become a legend at breaking all
the rules and continually
reinventing herself.
