At the age of six, Madonna was
devastated when her mother
died. When her father
remarried, she exploded into fiery
rebellion. She was hell-bent on
breaking whatever rules she
could at her Catholic school.
She rebelled against the standard
school uniform by wearing brightly
colored underwear, and to make
sure everyone knew, she hung
upside-down on the monkey bars
at recess. To this day, she is
legendary at breaking the rules
and continually reinventing
herself.
